MAC Cosmetics

OK, guys. You may want to skip today's post, because it's about makeup. Yup, this is a girly post. There aren't many of them. Of course, if you like wearing makeup like Prince or do temporary stencil tatoos, you're at the right place.

One of my girlfriends just landed a gig on national TV. We recently went on a shopping spree at Dillards when she told me about MAC Cosmetics, which is the only brand these people are allowed to use because of it's staying power.

The other night, she had just come back from a shopping trip. When I walked in her door, she was all dolled up. We're talking Glamor Girl! The colors were amazingly rich and vibrant. I'm not normally all that impressed, and I gasped!

We started playing dress-up with her new purchases, and I went home. I took a shower, washed my face with soap, slathered on a little cream, and hit the sack. I never looked in the mirror. I woke up the next morning to the same face I had put on the night before! I didn't put on any makeup that morning. It only started to fade in the late afternoon.

Yup. It's that good.

So last night, we went to Dillards and I bought my own set. For $102, I got a liquid liner, lip color/stain and gloss, lip pencil, 2 eye shadows, and (very important) makeup remover. I'll tell you right now: it's money well spent, because there's no re-applying the stuff throughout the day.

Call your local department store, see if you have a MAC Cosmetics counter, and make an appointment for a makeover today. You will be amazed!

Now I know what to get should I decide to try being a circus clown!

Does the stuff repel banana cream pie very well? It needs to be resistant to all known varities of pie. Very important is the clown bsiness!

I've heard of MAC, but didn't know it had such staying power. I'm definitely going to look into this. Thanks for the tip!

I thought you wrote: This is a grisly post and I was intrigued, just for a moment.

Saur,

It's not like you to be so sexist. I'm metro-sexual and wear makeup on a daily basis. Skin discolorization where the forehead meets the hair line.

Do you really not want my ideas on the education blog or are you really asking me to introduce some thought provoking racial issues?

mmmmmm, never tried the brand. Will it fill in these chasms on my face too? *G*

Mal, go for it! I don't know about chasms, but the base is fantastic!

Gator, your dialogue is always welcome. And racial is fine... racist is, er, not. But of course you are always the soul of diplomacy...

I knew you were metrosexual, of course. I think you get your pedicures at the same place that *I* do.

Uncle Joe, :D

Nihilistic, but of course you do, dahling!

Fred, ;o)

Christine, where've you been? I've left you a couple messages. Dont' be a stranger. Yeah, Carrie looks wonderful! I didn't know it was MAC.

Monique, por nada! ;o)

Lazy Iguana, I hear it has a high Cream Pie Repellancy Level. It's also supposed to make selzer water slide off like water off a duck's back.

Metro sexual is a media invention.

Wow, it needs a special makeup remover? That's almost scary--neat, but scary.

Banana cream pie repellant factor is important to me. You know how popular re-makes of old crap is. Why not bring back "the three stooges"!!!!?!?!?!

I could be Moe. All I need is a Larry and a Curly. I can find a Shemp later. I figure it is good for at least a few seasons.

You got my attention with Cosmetics here, Saur.

Mac does have some excellent products. I must confess, however, that I am a Guerlain woman, (at least for today.)

Hi, found your blog through Scott. Personally, I'm a Clinique whore. I'm also quite fond of anything Lancôme, but in my 'stage' days, I used Mac religiously. It never washed/sweat off during shows, not even during costume changes. Good post.
