Poetry Day!

OK, the last story I did two weeks ago died a premature death. So, I'm thinking the idea is fizzling out. So today (and perhaps tomorrow if it takes on a life of its own) let's do a group poem!

Just remember, keep the 'bad' language to a minimum, as there are kids that read this particular post. Please pick up where the last person left off.

Ode to an Autumnal Day

The morn breaks sullen and gray,
Yet by noon that will fade away...

  6. The clouds move swiftly through the day,

One looks like large eyelashes from Tammy Faye.

I look above and see the blue,

My day is complete gazing here with you.

  7. What autumn leads to I think we know,
We still have some warm days left though.
We can enjoy this beautiful day,
and hold it in our hearts 'til May.

  8. And on that warm and breezy day,
We'll walk the beach holding hands.
Our foot prints even in the sand.

  9. The leaves in the pool I just can’t stand

I ask the girls to vacuum them out
But the leader gives a shout
It’s too cold for the girls to be out

    They’d surely catch double pneumonia
    They’re not like Ty Babalonia

  10. So instead they stay inside
And on the couch they lie

  11. Oh, the gall of fall
    for one and all
    It slowly kills summer
    Then comes winter... bummer!
