The Nightmare
I started out telling you about a nasty nightmare I had last night. Not a jolly dream to start a Monday! But, why dwell on something like that when we can think about...
Name That Puppy!
The happy news is that the puppy is progressing nicely. He adores us all and howls like a banshee when we disappear. Then he continues to whimper after he sees us, as if he's reproaching us in some way.
He is terribly skinny (no worms), which contributes to his werewolf image, but in a case of "Monkey See, Monkey Do" he follows the dogs around and does exactly what they do. So, it looks as if I won't have to potty train him at all, since BoBo's doing an admirable job of it.
Someone suggested that it would be cool for everyone to take a shot at naming him, but we had to name him a name that was in line with the other two dogs. However...
BoBo and BugEyes are their given nicknames in this blog, where almost everyone I refer to has a fictitious name. I need a fictitious name for the puppy! Help me come up with one!

Oh, he's DARLING!!
He looks like a "Scrappy - Doo" to me! ;)
He looks so much better now that he's been bathed. I think it should be Bobo, BugEyes and Buford.
It's a very sweet thing you're doing, Saur.
Oscar?
Wow, he looks so much better he doesn't look like the same dog. I'm glad that he is improving so quickly. I like Oscar for the name as well.
If the puppy howls like a baby when you leave, might be why puppy was mistreated & abandoned.
After all some people are not fit to have puppies, never mind babies
But having company helps, I'm sure
And the other dog don't look jealous. - No I shan't name that puppy then I won't be upset because you chose one of the other entries - Only kidding. lol!
Did you steal this from my ongoing "name the new cat" contest thing? Anyway, here is my suggestion!
1. Curly. After the third Stooge!
You can also re-name Bobo to "Pinky" and re-name Bug Eyes to "Blinky", call the new puppy "Inky", then call the weasel "Clyde". You will then have all the Pac-Man ghosts! Cool huh?
I was going to add some super politically incorrect names, but I refrained :)
I was thinking of Weenie, but then I guess Oscar covers that one better.
How about Quixote then call him Q for short.
Saur,
From the pictures the dog appears black, please consider one of the following; Tyrone, Willie, Homie, Inky, Crack, Termite, Spade, Sambo, or President of the United States of Love.
First thing that came to mind from the picture was Curly, just like Lazy Iguana. But I like Oscar, too.
How about Gilusdi? Cherokee for "dog". You can call him Gil for short.
Japanese: Inu
French: Chien
Spanish: Perro
(I hope all those are right...I got them from Wikipedia.)
Off the cuff ideas: Tar Baby, Ebone, Saur Dog, Blog Dog, Raskal Flat, Char (as in charred), Cole.
PS That was my idea to let us name the dog! :o)
Senor Caiman - I was going to suggest Jessie (Jackson) and Al (Sharpton), but decided not to.
And in the line of the "Tar Baby" theme, how about "Remus"? I loved Song Of The South! The Uncle Remus character is a Disney classic. Nothing wrong with Remus.
Brer Dog is another possibility. Or, the name of the real dog in Song Of The South, Teenchy
WOW! All these ideas. I'll have to mull them over and announce a winner tomorrow. Thanks for playing, and a special thanks to Auntie Jo who did (I admit) suggest this in the first place.
Saur, what a wonderful thing you are doing, taking on that poor puppy. He looks like a completely different dog, after a bath. He is gorgeous ... those eyes tell it all !!
Good luck with the naming .
Have a great week.
Take care, Meow
AJ's trying to grab all the glory.
Ah, shucks, guess we should let her.
I can't believe she suggested Tar Baby, I really don't know her at all, do I?
