I had this surgery last week, and my eyes aren't cooperating, which is why I'm not posting. Bear with me and hopefully I'll be able to see well enough to do it on Wednesday.
The eye flap thing is where I draw the line. I approve of the lasers, that is the cool part. But there is still the "spinning blade of death" part that I do not approve of.
They have to take this mini meat slicer like they have at the deli only much smaller, lay down tracks for the mini slicer to ride on, then they cut a cornea flap.
BZZZZZZZZZ! WRONG!!! FAIL!!!!!
After the flap is flapping, they reshape the remaining cornea then flip the flap down.
When they can do the whole thing without the spinning blade of death, then Ill give it a go.
Besides, the eye doctor told me that even with the laser Ill still need reading glasses. So what is the point?
Ill keep my contact lenses.
Spy reports indicate that it takes a few days for things to become normal. But once things become normal you can see without corrective lenses. Providing you were not too bad off to begin with.
Saur♥Kraut has been called The Mouth of the South.
This blog was repeatedly named one of the best blogs in the area by the (then) St. Pete Times and Tampa Tribune. After a hiatus of a little over 3 years, she has recently returned to blogging and generally annoying everyone.
Saur♥Kraut grew up in the Tampa Bay Area and, after a brief period of roaming, settled there for good... just as a tick settles on a dog. She now lives in uneasy symbiosis with the most densely populated area within the State of Florida.

I have two friends who've had it done and they swear by it. Just give it time.
I hope your recovery is swift and complete.
I am anti-lasic.

Jeepers Creepers! Hope your peepers are peeping again soon!
I'm still having troubles - there's a complication that is keeping me from seeing well. Sorry everyone!!!
Get well soon. Looking forward to your return.
Lasik is the best thing I've ever done. I have monovision so no need for reading glasses.
Hope things clear up soon.
I also just had double hernia surgery and my genitals swelled to double their normal size, now that hurt.
Hope that you are getting by. Tough stuff!
Can you see yet??? How many beer bottles am I holding up??
By the way, the answer was ZERO. It was a trick question. So if you saw any beer bottles....well lets just say you need more rest.
Oh, please take care.
Get well.
