I have once more come to the conclusion that although MY life is an open book, most people are shady at best.
How many times have I come to someone and told them the truth only to get a partial truth or no truth in return?
I find it easier to be honest: If you don't like me, someone else will. If you have a problem with something I do, best to know up front! And I'd like the same courtesy, please.
I know that my wise old grandmother is somewhere in the ether, looking down on me and saying with great pity "Ah, such naivete."

The P.C. crowd is especially busy this year. "The 8-year-old boy was sent home from school and ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation after he was asked to make a Christmas drawing and came up with what appeared to be a stick figure of Jesus on a cross."

I think it is very sad that they sent that kid home from school. I read the entire article and clearly the boy did nothing wrong. In all honesty it was nice to see that he drew something that was at least close to the true meaning of Christmas, did the school forget that it is in fact a religious holiday?
In terms of people, I don't trust much of anyone, I have very few friends, but the ones I have are true friends that I can count on.
I tend to trust almost everyone, though it is sometimes an expensive choice.
True friends are like gold, and when you go through adversity you find out who they really are. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, which leaves me wide open sometimes to those who would take advantage of me. However, I think it poisons our soul if we become cynical. A healthy dose of skepticism isn't all bad! Oh, and if I don't get to your blogsite again, Saur, Merry Christmas to you, my sister in Christ!
