Wednesday's Observations

Crazy Pat Robertson is endorsing Rudy Giuliani. Anyone with any modicum of common sense will rethink a vote for Giuliani if Pat is saying that he's a stand-up guy. Pat's endorsement is as helpful as an endorsement by Paris Hilton. Speaking of which...

Paris Hilton is out of jail after three grueling weeks, and despite her neighbors' desperate pleas for her to leave, she is settling in just fine. She's a changed woman now: Changing her Pradas for Ferragamos, her Guess for Versaces...

The Senate is at it again, once more entertaining the highly unpopular illegal immigrant amnesty bill. Unpopular, that is, with everyone BUT the senators. But, since when to our representatives actually represent us? THAT quaint old notion went out of fashion many years ago. The debutantes on the hill keep throwing their elaborate parties, but the American public is never invited: After all, we're only the hired help and we're just here to do the clean-up afterwards.

In an attempt to regulate free speech, Congress is threatening to slap fees on various internet radio stations. Although I rarely listen to these stations, I hate to see the government find one more way to suppress expression on the internet. Please go to Save Internet Radio and find out what you can do to help.

1. Pat Robertson is still at it huh? Amazing. By now you would think even he knows he is a joke. Maybe those energy shakes are effecting his brain? He should just leg lift 2,000 pound weights and pick up chicks with his rippling muscles. Rudy will take support from anyone who will give it to him. Seeing as how the FDNY will not even talk to him.

2. Paris again?!?!?! Already? Did you ever see the "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Play Set" link I had on my site? It is great. I think you would like it. She wanted the fame. She could have just been an anonymous spoiled rich chick but no! She wanted fame too. And she bought it by giving money to MTV. Well now that fame is going to cause her problems. She will be on probation. Because she is "famous" people will notice her and take pictures and stuff. So no booze at those nightclubs Paris! Someone will sell the photo to the "news"! And you will be in violation of the probation! Back to the clink goes you! Too bad huh? Could have just been rich and not famous.

3. The Senate has to do something. So they will waste time with the immigration bill so the House can kill it.

4. The internet radio thing has little to do with free speech. It is to protect the Clear Channels of the world. You see, if I can listen to better music for free on the internet, why the crap would I listen to the shitty FM stations at home? Or at work? If there are less people listening then ratings drop, and if ratings drop then advertising rates also drop.

But they are forgetting about one thing. I can run an internet radio station from somewhere else. Like Mexico. Nothing the government can do about that.

Yet another reason to believe Robertson is a false prophet.

Paris Hilton ... what a joke that woman (??) is. What a media circus following her around ... how ridiculous. What is so interesting about her, anyway ?? She is only famous for being a Hilton ... what good (or remotely interesting) has she ever done ?

Since money (mostly from PACS and Big Doners) is the deciding factor in nearly every race for office run, and voters are just the sheep queued up by that money, guess where those elected to office get their direction from. Certainly not us wooley ones.

You want your vote to count and your "representatives" to listen to you? Then get rid of the money.

Pat Robertson = "That'll do, pig, that'll do".

Daveawayfromhome, What a lovely quote (from Babe, originally, but well-applied here). You're right: Money talks.

Meow, oddly, I thought she was quite lovely at first. Now she merely looks cheap to me. I wonder if men see it the same way?

Bryan, amen, brother!

Lazy, Dittos on 1-3, and very interesting observations on 4! Thanks for the input. I love it!

Alexander, I'll check it out later.
