The Thrift Shop Find

Every other weekend is filled with teenagers now. Which is wonderful. I don't understand people who don't want children around... or, in this case, young adults. Whatever. A full home is a happy home.

So this weekend we loaded up and hit garage sales, thrift stores, and the beach. New clothes (and other assorted sundries) were acquired and, best of all, we discovered this carved wooden statue:

Perhaps I should've bought it. It could come in "hand"y.

I have a fondness for wooden statues and so when in exotic (to me anyway) locations, I often seek out shops that see unique ones that I can take home with me. In the Philippines, there are plenty to choose from but along the tourist paths (which I tend to avoid), they all have one thing in common. They all have a vast selection of wooden statues sporting large erect penises. I'm sure your statue would fit in perfectly there if they were to figure out the significance of the extended middle finger.

Saurpuss, You would like my Afican statues.

I hear it's been windy down there, are you too good for a kite?
