I'm very sorry I didn't have a chance to post today. My server (Verizon) went down on Thursday at 1:30 PM EST. I then had to call and for at least 4 hours over 2 days, dealt with different morons, each with a contradictory story or piece of advice for me. The last one told me that a concensus had been reached and that the problem was definately in my computer and I would need to replace a card in there.
When I took it to a computer repair shop, they charged me $45 but no more, since there was nothing wrong with my computer whatsoever. The problem lay with Verizon. I am now being refunded the $45 through their billing department. I'll be back on track tomorrow.

Repeat after me...
Verizon, you're fired.
And NO Mr. Trump, I am not going to give you a cent for that. Now get the dead muskrat off your head and stop trying to fool everyone. Nobody still thinks that rug on your head is real.
I had no idea you had Verizon. Why in the world are you not using Roadrunner? Talk to my hubby please.
Do you really have to post every day? I think that is a bit much to ask: I post every 3 days usually. Granted that is x5 for all my pages, but still every day is hard to keep things fresh. You generally do it, but a day off now and then is FINE with me, even if you didnt plan it.
Hope you are up and running properly again now. It's a real bummer when things go wrong.
Have a great weekend.
Take care, Meow
I agree with Alex, Saur. Although it's nice to know that I can come over here and read a new post everyday, I understand that the curveballs of life get in the way as well. Shoot, I'm lucky to get up two posts a week, due to the batting cage I live in.
I finally left Verizon and went to Bright House for everything. So far, I'm pretty happy with their service.
Saur,
I'm going to stop posting here if you don't correct this issue soon.
No excuse, no blame.
repeat after me: remember how to spell definitely. There is no "A" in it.
Oh my...Spelling Police on the hunt...
I've noticed that any time you speak to a company rep, at no time will they a) actually have a clue, being there to fulfill the role of saying the company gives customer service; or b) say to you, "I have no idea what's wrong", but instead pull an answer at random from their rectum (said "answer" usually indicating a failure on your part) and then give it to you in the hope that you'll go away.
Here's hoping Ima isnt a run-on sentence cop, also.
I have a friend who uses Earth-link. But where she lives, Earth-link is piggy-backed on Verizon, which left her hanging for over three weeks during some sort of "maintainance" recently. I remember when Verizon was GTE, and they were bastards then, too.
I totally understand, and feel your pain.
This happened to us, 4 days last week. Not only was the internet off, but so was the television. Talk about a day filled with bordom!
Saur,
Okay that's it. I was able to overlook the spelling and the grammar but not showin disrepect for postings.
Asa lama lakem.
Id just dump them.
SAUR IS SORRY TO SAY THAT SHE IS STILL HAVING INTERNET CONNECTION ISSUES. SHE IS HOPING EVERYTHING IS RESOLVED TODAY AND WILL BE BACK TOMORROW (TUESDAY 9/12/06)
Ugh still!
I hate that shit! that sucks. I hope you're back online soon!
SRG, thanks hon. Me too! I'm limping along right now.
Alex, ;o)
Michelle, thanks for posting that for me, hon.
Senor Caiman, :D
Barbara, isn't it funny? It really makes us appreciate the net and the power behind it!
More in a minute...
Daveawayfromhome, well... even your name is a run-on, so you're done for. Yeah, service seems to generally suck everywhere. I hear knology is good?
Kathleen & Nihilistic, ;o)
Imahottie, Self confidence is a wonderful thing. I hope you deserve it. Thanks for the tip! I'll treasure it always.
Susie, Yep! ;o)
Senor, you know you can't resist me... :D
Fred, hear anything on knology?
Ellen & Alex, it's more of a self-promise on my part - a writing exercise, if you will. However, times like this will occur...
Meow, thanks, hon.
Michelle, oh yeah! Good idea. I'll talk w/ your hubby.
Lazy Iguana, ;o)
