Sick Today

I am fighting a nasty cold, and it's getting the best of me. I'm so sorry, but I can't think of a thing while I'm dealing with this. I would love to get your feedback on the last two posts, if you haven't read them yet. Have a wonderful day!

I posted comments on everything. The enemy state flag thing. I made some mouse teeth jokes. My observations on fitting rooms. It is all there.

PS do not neglect to check out my mouse teeth jokes! You may have missed em.

Hi Suar,
Sorry you aren't feeling well, I hope you get better soon. I have been reading your blog for awhile but I have not been commenting as much lately. Mainly I haven't had too much to say on the topics that you have brought up. On the confederate flag issue I am kind of wishy washy, I guess I do not take it very seriously and maybe I should. I currently live in the South, (SC) but I am from the Northeast, my SO is from the mountains of NC so he is about as southern as you can get. He has a confederate flag in our garage, I don't know that it really means anything to him other than that is what he grew up with. He does joke about how the south feels that the Civil War was really the war of "Northern Aggression." I do know that he is not racist and of course does not condone slavery or support it. He is also half Native American so has had to deal with his share of discrimination. Which is really more eye opening to me than racism/discrimination towards African Americans. Discrimination towards Native Americans seems to be less talked about yet is more recent than we want to believe. Your blog about White Trash child abuse is something that I feel very strongly about, I really think some people should just not be allowed to reproduce, it saddens me to no end about the things that children are put through because of adults. My SO is also a deputy for the county we live in, when he talks about the child molestation cases it angers me to no end and there are a lot more child molestation cases than I had ever imagined. As far as fitting rooms are concerned I seem to have had better experiences, I generally shop at places such as American Eagle and Gap and I think their fitting rooms are pretty good, the ones I have been in are a completely closed off room. I also never try on underwear and I generally just purchase bathing suits and wash them. I don't generally wear ANY clothes before washing them, (something my non-white trash mom ingrained in me). Although we were poor enough at one point to have a great picture that makes us look like the Clampetts. My mom always says, I know we were poor but I thought we hid it better. Thanks for continuing to write, I know that your life is not easy and I am sorry that you are going through a rough time, I really wish you the best and you are in my prayers.

Beav, get better, girl!

JSull, there you are! Good! I was worried I'd scared you off. ;o)

Fred, thanks, hon. Since you're a school teacher, I'm thinking you're seeing it everywhere.

Senor, thanks, hon. Can you drop off some ColdEeze while you're at it?

Paul, thank you. I am so very lucky that I have an assistant right now that can answer phones and take care of stuff. ;o)

Matt, you know, I was wondering if I should ask for some antibiotics. Is the Xanax helping?

Michelle, oh good! We need to catch up anyway. I'll call you late morning on your cell...

R2K, would you believe that I live in Florida but drink processed orange juice? It's shameful, really...

Ange, it's delightful to see you again! Thank you for your thoughtful weigh-ins here.

You have an excellent point about discrimination against the American Indian. I would love to hear more about that from your perspective.

And you're right, there are a terrible amount of child molestation cases. I am not sure if they've increased in numbers, or if the victims are simply being heard. But it's horrible.

You're right about washing clothes first; you never know what chemicals are still on them from when they were processed.

Finally, thanks so much for all your kind words.

Lazy, I am so terribly sorry I've been neglecting your blog. I will get over there ASAP. I love the way you write, and it's punishing when I can't get over there.
