Because it's important that I retain my anonymity, I can't disclose too much. However, I wanted to share this with you: I just won a major literary award! I'm very excited about it.
What Would You Like to See?
It seems that many of you are losing interest in the weekend story format, so I will go back to my regular, daily format again. However, feel free to continue to add to the story throughout the week! Would you like to see that story format once a month instead? What would you like to see?

Congratulations!!!
Congratulations on the award. It's a shame we can't know exactly what it is, but I do understand the need for anonymity.
I think the stories are fun. I also think that this past week end was a light blogging time. Too many ball games going on.
Do whatever YOU want. It's your blog for gosh sakes!
Congrats!!! I am with Lucy...do what you want with your blog. I write mine for me, not to entertain others..
Besides, I like your blog just the way it is *G*
BTW...I got hooked on Heinlein when "Stranger in a Strange Land" was rolling around campus along with Tolkein *S*
Yeah, that ghost story was going way too drag, so I took the liberty of killing it off. I am like that.
How about this: Letters home from a girl who has joined the circus? Or is trying to get roles in Hollywood movies? Or who is Ellen DeGeneres's girlfriend? (Oh, scratch that....)
Congrats on your award!
Was it for a book or for an article?
You could give us a little bit of info...
Well, I hope this award helps your business be even more successful.
Congrats on the award, though Im not sure why I dont deserve one as well :P
I speak good english and crap.
R2000
Jamie Dawn, I'm just bursting to tell, but I can't.
Alex, *LOL*
Acton Bell, Michelle, Mallory, TLP, & Polanco thank you!!! I'm very excited. My circle of family and friends contains famous authors, so it's nice to show them that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I'm not trying to prove myself, I just inherited the gift and love using it.
Old Hoss, thank you for the mercy killing. ;o)
Mallory, I grew up on REAL SciFi. Not most of the crap they publish today. I read stuff that was out of print when I was a kid, but it taught me the difference between good writing and writing for the masses. Have you ever read "Needle"? You really need to. You'd love it.
Well done, Saur. Pat yourself on the back!
Congrats!!
Any way you want to continue the stories, I'll continue to add my two cents. They're fun.
Congratulations! Sounds like it must be quite an honor!
Hi. I'm just trying to catch up with some of my friends. Congrats on the award. I keep it a pretty good secret about my writing myself but I finished writing my first play a few weeks ago and it was selected for performance in a festival next summer. It's no major literary award, but it is to me so I know the elation you feel. Apparently someone thinks I have a pretty wicked sense of humor and an uncanny ability to put dialogue on paper. Jokes on them. I used the penname Trent Mcneely so if you ever hear of something written by him, it's me. And to think, all from a guy that failed english and hated to read and write as a kid. I never would have pictured myself doing this and having any measure of success at it, but it is something I still prefer to do in secret. Sort of like sneaking chocolate at night when noone is looking. Harmless and sinful pleasures. Oh for the things we do when noone is looking...
The stories are awesome and I would love to participate, but knowing me the way you do, you know why I can't. I respect your rules so that is why I never hit the keys on these masterpieces of literary jazz but that doesn't stop me from enjoying them as I do.
I'm glad your new job (could you call it new?) is going well. For all the shit I talk, I don't think I would have had the nuts to do it myself. If I did, maybe I'd be a full time stand up by now, but I just can't do it. Damn sense of responsibility!
I need to get. I miss you folks.
Have a hoot. Until later...
Jeff, it's so nice to have you back! Yeah, I kinda figured that's why you weren't participating in the story. ;o) Your play must be full of four-letter words. You'd do Eddie Murphy proud.
Yeah, the new job's great! It has it's days, and its ups and downs, but you can't beat the freedom. And I can do candles in the kitchen while I'm on the phone!
Mr. Sculpting Gel, *wink* that will be our little secret.
Aral, thanks, hon! It really is. The only problem is, I called my family to tell them about it, and because I won it once before no one was impressed. It was quite a let-down at that moment. So, I went and ate some Ben & Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk to celebrate all by myself.
Fred, thanks! I'll keep doing them. Perhaps I'll start doing them in that other blog, and use this one for the daily rants.
Kathleen, thanks, hon!
