Beaver!

For those of you who are hoping to see a list of New Year's Resolutions from me: Forget it.
Remember: click on the picture to enlarge it.

I've been tagged by Beaver, whom I've only recently met. She "is a Franco-Canadian chick, raised in Africa, educated in Canada, with roots spanning from Montreal to Ouagadougou, and passing through Paris". Whew!

Seven things I plan to do before I die:

1. Fly in an ultralight (although this may hurry up my demise)
2. Travel to India, Mexico, Brazil, Egypt, and Greece / Italy to see the temples and other landmarks
3. Buy a massive luxury catamaran and sail around the tropics
4. Finish and publish my books
5. Grow VERY old
6. Save, influence, and/or enrich lives when given the opportunity
7. Spend as much time as possible with friends and family

Seven things I can do:

1. Sing opera
2. Mountain climbing and spelunking
3. Marry people (I’m an ordained minister)
4. Model
5. Sandsculptures
6. Stand up for what’s right, and not for what’s easy
7. Sailing

Seven things I can't do: (I stole #6 from Beav)

1. Sing in front of an audience (stage fright!) even though I enjoy acting onstage
2. Discuss the Theory of Relativity knowlegably
3. Hurt an animal
4. Ski. I think.
5. Be unethical (I couldn’t sleep at night)
6. Listen to racist or hateful discourse and stay silent
7. Gymnastics (OW!)

Seven things that attract me to another person: (OK, I stole ALL of these from Beav)

1. honesty
2. curiosity
3. intelligence
4. culture
5. humility
6. generosity
7. sense of humor

Seven things I say most often:

1. @$#^& (I won’t repeat it here – it’s usually said in bad traffic)
2. Truthfully...
3. Seriously...
4. What EVER!
5. Good Gravy! (yeah, I really say that – how lame is THAT?)
6. Crap!
7. I love you (to friends, family, etc.)

Seven people to do this little blogger game:

Michelle (who won't talk about herself unless we force her)
Old Hoss

@#$^&... the universal language of being stuck in traffic... I am guilty of it myself!

YAY!! You didn't tag me. It'll be a happy new year after all!

You must post an audio clip of you singing opera. That would be fun.

Happy New Year, Saur.

Well, okay. But only because I am SO out of ideas. I'll try this. But I hafta think on it. Not as easy as it looks I'm thinkin'.

YOU ARE A BRAT! (Yes I yelled that) This is one of the things I say often too. Ok, I will work on this.

Whistle Britches said...

So, Michelle, tell us about yourself. NOW!!!!

Saur, you are making me cry with the Bloom County Cartoons. I have a stuffed Opus from the eighties that I will be placing in center view until I can get over this.

Saur♥Kraut said...

Acton Bell, and to you, too!

Uncle Joe, subscribe to mycomicspage.com and you can see almost every one! I adore Bloom County.

Michelle, ;o)

Mallory, ahhh, don't be too sure! Your turn could be coming! I thought about you, seriously.

Girl Next Door, ...possibly... And yes, I sing, thanks to the voice lessons my parents sent me to at a young age.

Fred, possibly... but it probably goes back to stage fright. I might try it. I can sing karaoke if I'm sloshed enough, but even then...

Ellen, *LOL* Maybe we should name it 'Traffic Language'.

Too late, Ms. Saurness. I already did this one, about 2 months ago. Hoss 1, Saur 0.

It’s all coming together the new doo, “climb every mountain… till you find your dream”.

I don’t know if you’ve ever been to the Miami International Boat Show but where else can a thin blonde go and within moments have a choice of any yacht. That was the last time I wore a Speedo to a boat show.

Thanks for not tagging me. I now consider you a friend.

Saur♥Kraut said...

Old Hoss, well, aren't YOU the lucky one? ;o)

Mr. Gator, no English accent, though... I love the St. Pete Boat Show, which is almost every bit as good. *sigh* I lust after those mammoth cats.

I've been tagged by Saurkraut. I liked her better before she tagged me. (just teasing) She really can and does do all the things she talks about in her blog. I really don’t and can’t do anything she writes about in her blog. So here are my answers. Warning, there is nothing interesting so don’t be disappointed.

Seven things I plan to do before I die:

1. Become financial independent.
2. Become a Guardian Ad Litem or Parent Councelor.
3. Own my own girly sports car.
4. Read Saurkrauts published books
5. Work from home.
6. Travel.
7. Spend as much time as possible with friends and family

Seven things I can do:

1. Ride a bike
2. Organize and work quickly, my boss says I do 8 hours of work in 4 hours.
3. Get my kid in bed by 7pm and asleep by 7:30pm.
4. Tell it like it is, but not in blogland.
This is hard for me. I can answer the “things I can’t do better. Let me answer this way instead.
5. I love sunsets and the beach, but I don’t swim often and sand gets in the way.
6. I hate school, but love being involved in my childrens schools.
7. I love reading, but rarely have time.

Seven things I can't do:

1. Sing
2. Rollerblade
3. Cook well
4. Arts and crafts
5. Write
6. school work (Which is ironic since my blog is mostly about education.)
7. Get my kids to clean their rooms.

Seven things that attract me to another person: (OK, I stole ALL of these from Beav)

1. honesty
2. humor
3. intelligence
4. calmness
5. Have the ablity to put me in my place and I still have respect for them.
6. generosity
7. self-sufficient, holds down long term jobs or jobs within the same field.

Seven things I say most often:

1. Oh @#$%!
2. You’re a brat
3. Well actually
4. What EVER!
5. What in the world.
6. Crap!
7. Good job, thanks.

Seven people to do this little blogger game:

Layne (from sweet n' saur blog)
MMM (from sweet n' saur blog)
Kathleen
Mallory
Mr. Gator
Liquid Plastic
TC
(I will leave you alone Fred, but I thought about it!)

michelle said...

Mr. Gator, I thought about not tagging you, but I just couldn't resist. I will understand if you consider me not your friend. Your answers will be well worth it I believe.

Saur♥Kraut said...

Great job, Michelle! you've gotta go in their blogs and tag them, too! ;o) I didn't know that about your work abilities, but I suspected it. I also didn't know you wanted to become an Guardian Ad Litum. I thought about it at one time, but there are a lotta classes to attend. If you'd like, we could look into it next year and take them together~!

As a frequent lurker with an occasional comment, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Love your blog game. It's always fun to find out new things about people. I'm jealous that Michelle can get her child to sleep by 7:30!

I'd like to someday be a Guardian Ad litem, too. I think I need to wait until some of my kids are a little older though.

michelle said...

ok, I tagged everyone. Thanks

Saur♥Kraut said...

Wow, TC, thanks!!! And I checked out the recipes, too. They look AWESOME. I'm glad to see a slow-cooker recipe, finally. That's SO easy for me.

...I like the beehive comment. That's a pretty funny "inside joke", everyone. Gator is always teasing TC about her hair.

michelle said...

TC,
I can't believe I didn't put down drug-free! Thank you for putting that on your list.

Telling it like it is. Anyone who knows me will laugh at this, but I guess I am shy about it.

There are some people that do know who I am and I don't necissary want them to read some of my "telling it like it is" statements. However, I will tell it like it is if I am 99.9% sure I am right, it won't hurt anyone I know, it might hurt but needs to be said, or I am in one of those moods where if I don't get it out I will say @#$%.

Maybe that will be my New Years resolution.

Wow! I have missed so much. I have been tagged by both Michelle and Beaver, so I will get right on it.

Love the seven things you can do! Spelunking, very cool!
I would agree the seven things that attract you to another are all the same for me.
....Good gravy? for real? how cute!

Oh yes, I like your remodel over here!

A diverse and interesting list, Saur. I like your new icon as well.

Something I also hope you do is have a healthy and happy 2006.

michelle said...

Always Questioning,
I want to tag you too. You've been around as long as Saur and me. We need to hear about you too.

Happy New Year... here via Lee Ann.

Jamie Dawn said...

I'll do this in the near future.
I like reading your sevens. You also, say "Yup!" a lot.

Have a wonderful New Year's weekend. I wish you a joyous and blessed 2006.

Two things. You really must add Turkey to your list of nations. (There is more ancient Greece in Turkey than there is is Greece) Ephesus still gives me chills.

Number two. I take it back about Barbie, I think is is one of those Breck girls isn't it?

Davoh said...

Hey, 'Ultralights' and 'skydiving' are well within your capacity. (but to do it on yer own might take some training)

I am so behind! I will have to do this soon - probably on Tuesday!

I love being IT!

Saur♥Kraut said...

Eddo, oh good! I was worried, because you've been so busy.

Kathleen, thanks! You would've been tagged if Michelle could've hunted YOU down, I'm sure! ;o)

Always Questioning, I just poked my head in the door and said hi! I also explained the links deal to you, since you asked.

Davo, I think it would be SO much fun! And rappelling, too!

3 Score & 10 you're absolutely right! I even have friends from Turkey who could point out all the right places to go. They've shown me pictures, and it's gorgeous. What about Barbie/Breck girls? I didn't catch the original comment, somehow.

Jamie Dawn, yup! You're right! ;o) I'm glad you liked it. I can't wait to see yours!

ShyRocket, welcome to the blog! How nice to see you!

Barbara, thank you! And to you and yours (especially your daughter) I wish the same.

Lee Ann, glad you liked it! Yeah, I really do say that... *sigh*

Layne, great list! Thanks so much for taking the time to share with us!

LP, good! Can't wait!

THE BEAV'STER IS BACK !!!

Good gravy! LOL Saur, you can marry people? How cool is that! Now that definitely puts a twist on "will you marry me", doesn't it? That is so cool :)

Thanks for playing this little game, even though you just met me :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR to YOU and YOUR LOVED ONES (and all your wonderful READERS). May 2006 be a year of PLEASANT SURPRISES and SMILY THOUGHTS.
